Downtown White Bear Lake is just minutes north, with restaurants like Rudy's Redeye Grill (open since 2003) and seasonal favorites like Cup & Cone (serving since 1973). For more extensive dining and shopping, downtown Stillwater is approximately 15-20 minutes east.

Mahtomedi is less ideal for buyers on a tight timeline who need many options to choose from — the inventory here is consistently low. It is also not the right fit for those who prioritize walkable urban amenities or short commutes to Minneapolis.
